  • 6 largegreen plantains, peeled and chopped
  • 2 largered onions, sliced
  • 7.14 ozDominican salami, sliced
    or regular salami
  • 2.03 fl ozolive oil
  • 1.07 ozbutter
  • 3 clovesgarlic, minced
  • 2 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper
  • 1.06 pintswater
  • 7.14 ozqueso frito, fried cheese

Instructions

    Boil chopped plantains in salted water until very tender, about 15 minutes.

    While plantains cook, fry salami slices until crispy. Set aside.

    In same pan, sauté onions in olive oil until caramelized.
